Travel, TV is the biggest concern in wing realignment debate

The wing currently makes four trips each season and the West coast of Canada West. In the postseason, the wings had to play the most important game of the season often traveled back and forth to the West Coast.

“I would like to see the wings went to the Eastern Conference,” says Nicklas Lidstrom, who played all 20 season of his career in the Western Conference. “I have not experienced the other side, where they were kind of up and down the coast (East) than the West. We travel to different time zones and take the wear and tear on the body.

Two-thirds vote of the 30 required for each team realignment in order to graduate. 2012-13 NHL schedule will be drawn up immediately.
